A big “Thank You” to all of the speakers, participants and sponsors of our education summit in Alexandria. What a wonderful location and venue for our meetings and “networking”!
If you missed it, the event was well attended with some great info coming from a variety great speakers including John Edman of Explore MN Tourism, Dan McElroy of Hospitality Minnesota, our own legislative team of Hill Capitol Strategies, some guest speakers and a myriad of talent from your colleagues within MACVB. More than 50 in attendance which was wonderful.
We started implementing a survey after each event in an effort to make sure the events are in alignment with member wants and needs. We are on the right track in many ways which is good to see. Good ideas came from the survey which allow us to fine tune future events for location, format, schedule, speakers and topics. Always looking to improve.
We are already well on our way of planning our Annual Meeting which will take place October 2-3, 2018 in St. Louis Park. Some powerful speakers are lined up and we expect this meeting to be our best ever. Please mark your calendars and decide what staff members will benefit from the topics, speakers and overall networking. We purposefully have been designing our meetings to provide a combo of education, legislative updates and networking creating a strong ROI and good reasons to attend.
Summer tourism in Minnesota is in full swing and we wish everyone a wonderful July!
