Happy Barbecue Month, Bike Month and Hamburger Month! There was a lot to celebrate in the month of May, weather not necessarily being at the top of the list. May has been a busy month as we saw an end to another legislative session, last minute details for our upcoming Education Summit, and preparation for summer in Minnesota!
We’re at about the perfect time of year. The wait is just about over; we have an entire season in front of us that we undoubtedly have been waiting for all year, SUMMER! As we know in the Tourism arena, the summer months are busy, packed full of activities, events, community festivals and the opportunity to get outside and enjoy one of the reasons we call Minnesota home. With that being said, I would strongly encourage you to take some time before the craziness and join us for the Education Summit June 4-5 at Bluefin Bay.
This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues and grow your knowledge about our industry. We will hear from some of the best and brightest in our industry about unique and creative ways to build our brand and more importantly our budgets through partnerships. We encourage CEO/Directors to bring their staff as roundtable options will be available for both groups to share and learn from their colleagues. Our legislative team of Todd Hill and Tony Kwilas will provide us with an insider perspective on how the legislative session ended and what that means for our industry now and in the future.
You asked, we listened! We heard from numerous members that a Compensation and Benefits survey is something they were looking for. We had an overwhelming response from our members. The results are in and will be presented by Dowell Management at our Education Summit. This survey was a first for MACVB and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to our members that provided us information about our industry!
I’m looking forward to you joining us for some education, networking and a whole lot of fun at our Education Summit next week!
